Welcome to my life…
One day I woke up and realized I had completely given my life away in the service of other people. I was a shell of a human, with a house full of needy people, who rarely looked forward to any of the tasks I needed to perform in a day despite a family I adored and a rich faith practice. Though I likely appeared high-functioning to the outside world, I was absolutely miserable and entirely resentful toward almost everyone who wanted anything from me ever. It took me years to breakdown and rebuild my life, and on the other side of this very hard work, I wake up looking forward to every day and am the happiest and healthiest person I know. I want this for others, and I believe it is possible for everyone. Though we are all unique, there are certain habits and formulas that serve us all. The journey is a process; it is never over; and there is no magic formula that releases us from doing the work. My hope is that in sharing pieces of my journey, you will be inspired to build a life you love. We just get the one chance, so there is really no time to waste.

There is no silver bullet, but there is always another way
Happy 2025, Everyone! I don’t believe in “new year, new you”. I believe in 1% better every day, and I also believe that we get to reinvent ourselves at any time of year, because we are adults, and the bosses of our own lives. For the first time ever, I ended last year with…
You don’t have to do all the things
I just found this picture of myself from Christmas 2018. This girl (and the two littles standing next to her) look tired. We had just moved – it was our first Christmas in our current home, and I was determined to make ALL the magic for my people. Reflecting on holiday seasons past has been…
